DIGITAL IMAGING

While reading magazines, mailers, brochures or catalogues you must have come across such variety of visuals where aspects are presented in styles not feasible in real life. For instance, a car flying amidst clouds or a man carrying an elephant or a horse with wings or even flames on water....,and so on....Have you not ? Such images are normally created to convey extraordinary capabilities of a product or service so as to reduce the usage of text.

Certainly, you'll argue and I'll agree that no car can fly. But the manufacturer of the car, by exhibiting it in such a fashion might desire to convey the super speed at which it can move. If this be the case, then, why can't he use the text and reveal the fact ? Because images hit harder than words.

Creation of such visuals require a technique where two or more images are mixed and arranged in a method so as to create surreal atmosphere. It is accomplished digitally and is referred as Digital Imaging. A lot goes into it.

Trust, it is quite clear by now that to have a visual exhibiting something as narrated above would necessitate Photography of the primary object, followed closely by Digital Imaging...!
